With the Jacksonville Jaguars trading Eugene Monroe yesterday, there has been speculation about the other players on the roster. RB Maurice Jones-Drew and LB Paul Posluszny are the most recognizable names that coule be shopped around in a trade.

We can shut all that speculation down now after Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell said that they were not going anywhere.

He says Jones-Drew and Posluszny are “not going anywhere. … They’re part of this team and we’re excited about having them a part of this team.”

Maurice Jones-Drew has struggled to start out the season with the Jags. He doesn’t have much help on the offensive side of the football though. So far MJD has 138 yards in the team’s 4 losses and has averaged 2.4 yards a carry.

LB Paul Posluszny has 40 combined tackles this season and a sack. He signed a 6-year deal with the Jaguars in 2011 and has been one of the best defensive players on the team.

At least the Jaguars fans will have these guys on the roster to cheer for.
