There had to be some team that was interested in the services of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman. The Minnesota Vikings look like they are one of those teams and the Oakland Raiders are likely another.

The Minnesota Vikings have been lining Christian Ponder up behind center and his greatest asset is his ability to hand the football off to Adrian Peterson. The Vikings rode on the back of Peterson all of last season to get to the playoffs, but have not been able to do the same thing in this early season. Ponder was injured early in the year and Matt Cassel led the team to a win in London over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Vikings would love to have another signal caller back there that can pose another threat on offense and that can stretch the defense. Not sure if Freeman is the guy that would be able to do that for them, but he is young and has been productive in the past with the Buccaneers. The Vikings have talent on their offense. They have Greg Jennings to stretch the field and they have Cordarelle Patterson to pose as another threat. Peterson is always a monster in the ground game. The Vikings just need someone to get the ball out to all their weapons.
