The San Francisco 49ers are looking into the possibilities of adding Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon. A deal between the two teams appears unlikely though.
49ers WRs Mario Manningham and Michael Crabtree appear to be getting closer to returning back onto the football field, but adding Gordon onto the roster would be a major upgrade to the passing attack.
The Browns are believed to be looking for a 2nd round pick for Gordon, but all the off-field issues could be something that the 49ers are mulling over. It would be a huge upgrade if the 49ers were able to bring in a talent of that level onto their roster and add it to what they already have cooking.
The Browns traded away Trent Richardson for a 1st round draft pick already and could look to stock up on those draft picks in order to get a quarterback at the top of the draft next season. Brandon Weeden and Brian Hoyer have done an excellent job of bringing the Browns back to relevance, but a player like Teddy Bridgewater could take this team to a new level. The Browns would have to beat the Jaguars off with a stick in order to get Bridgewater though.
