The St. Louis Rams will keep using RB Zac Stacy as the starter in week 6 against the Houston Texans.

"“He’ll probably start the game off, just like he did yesterday,” said Jeff Fisher – Rams Twitter"

Stacy had a rib injury against the Jaguars on Sunday, but he finished with 78 yards on 14 carries. Fisher would like him to take on a larger role on offense and get more carries.

"“Would’ve liked to see him get more carries,” said Fisher, “but that’s the way the game went.”"

Stacy got his first start of the season and has a big opportunity to take the lion’s share of the workload. He was drafted by the Rams in the 5th round out of Vanderbilt and has already taken over the starting duties with the Rams.

Daryl Richardson has been a disappointment for the Rams and Stacy is benefiting from the opportunity.

Stacy will be facing off against much more difficult competition this week though. He had a nice warm up game against the Jaguars, but he will have to go up against the Houston Texans this week.
