The New York Giants are in the market for a running back with the injury to RB David Wilson. Wilson is out for a few weeks with the injury to his neck. It could be even longer considering where the injury is located.
With the Giants on the hunt for some depth at the position, the team has brought in a few players to work out. Here are some of the names that we have heard that has come out: Peyton Hillis, Jeremy Wright, DJ Ware and Ryan Torain, per Ralph Vacchiano.
With the injuries on the roster, Brandon Jacobs is taking the lead back role for the team and Da’Rel Scott is the backup. He played well against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football, rushing the ball 22 times for 106 yards and a couple of scores. He did hurt his hamstring in the game though and may be limited in practice this week.
The Giants need to get some help at the position as quickly as possible. The team is hurting bad and need some help in the ground game. They also are looking for their first win of the season.
