Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh must have different rules for him. He was just fined $31k for a hit that he laid on Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden.

Here is a photo of the shot that he is getting fined for:

I guess Ndamukong Suh is not allowed to tackle people. He needs to stop putting his hands on people and putting them on the ground.

Suh has a history of making violent hits that have costed him all kinds of money. Everyone knows that Ndamukong is going to lay out a hard hit when he gets to the ball carrier, but the amount of money that they are taking out of his pocket-book for a hit like this is ridiculous.

Let him play the game. That hit is legal and you can get that money from him when he actually does something illegal later.

As I understand the rule it’s the CROWN OF THE HELMET to the chest, that is illegal. Suh is below the head and neck and that is not the crown on Weedon’s chest.

If you watch it on video, the helmet barely makes contact–Suh is coming on an angle, and pushes Weeden down with his hands. If he had not dropped his head he’d have hit Weeden in the facemask with his helmet.
