North Carolina Tar Heels TE Eric Ebron stepped up in a huge way in front of a bunch of NFL scouts and general managers on Thursday Night. Ebron torched Miami’s secondary by hauling in 8 passes for 199 yards and a score. The Tar Heels didn’t win the game, but Ebron made an impression.
Ebron’s night started with a 71-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter to help give the Tar Heels a 7-3 lead. This was his new career high in receiving yards.
Ebron has been tearing it up on the football field this season. He is also considered a really strong blocker and his ability to do both is why he is considered one of the best tight ends that could be available in the draft.
32 scouts and 5 general managers were in attendance on Thursday. Ebron definitely will be one of the players that created a buzz from his performance.
Ebron is a Junior and if he decides to enter the draft, he will be one of the top tight ends selected and will likely be taken in the first 2 rounds.
