The Dallas Cowboys no longer think that DeMarco Murray is a franchise back and they have had some discussions about adding a new back onto the roster before the trade deadline. The Cowboys don’t have a ton of cap space on their roster, but Jerry Jones is not afraid to make a big move to help out the offense. Look out for them at the trade deadline. Here are a couple of players that they could be after during the deadline:

Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars keep saying that he is not going to get traded, but if they get offered the right deal, they will have to take it. Jones-Drew has not produced this season and the team has to be hesitant about giving him a long-term deal. His trade value isn’t huge right now and the Cowboys could get in on that action.

Steven Jackson, Atlanta Falcons
Jackson was supposed to help the Falcons get over the hump, but they Falcons have just dropped into a hole that they cannot dig out of. Jackson could take on a big load for the team, if he can stay on the field.

Arian Foster, Houston Texans
If the Texans have finally given up on the season, then it is possible that the team could move on from Arian Foster as well. The Texans then would look to re-sign Ben Tate as their starter. The Texans are at a point where they need to select between the two. Tate seems like the talent that is better for the future.

Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders
Another injury prone running back, but the Oakland Raiders likely don’t want to keep him long-term. His injuries should be a concern for any team that picks him up. WHen he is on the field, he can be one of the best.
