New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs stepped onto the field last week and turned back the hands of time. He ran the ball like he was 5 years younger and helped the offense move the ball down the field. He provided a nice little running attack for the Giants. It didn’t help them win the game in the end, but it was a breath of fresh air for the offense.

In that game though, he hurt his hamstring and has not been able to practice this week because of the injury. Word out of New York is that he will no be playing tonight against the Minnesota Vikings. It looked like the Giants will be depending on the newly signed Peyton Hillis to carry the load in the running game.

This could be doom for the Giants offense once again. Hillis has been in camp for a week and doesn’t have the whole playbook down and has not been a good running back since he was in Cleveland. Let’s see if he can find that time machine that Brandon Jacobs found last week.
