The Houston Texans have named Case Keenum the starting quarterback for this weekend’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Former starter Matt Schaub is healthy enough to start, but it looks like he has lost his starting job to Keenum this season. Schaub has struggled in his opportunities with interceptions this year and has a lot of Texans fans pointing their fingers at him for the team’s struggles.

Keenum took over for Schaub a couple of weeks ago against the Chiefs and was solid. He did not lead the team to victory, but he was poised and did a decent job against a strong defense. Keenum showed some promise and showed some potential for the team in the future.

The Texans have dropped out of playoff contention and need to look toward the future with the players they have on the roster. Do they have their starting quarterback of the future already on the roster or if they need to look to get one in the offseason.

The Texans will be taking on the division rival Indianapolis Colts this weekend. It looks like Schaub’s days with the team are numbered.
