Peyton Manning MRI Reveals Re-Aggravated Ankle Injury

Peyton Manning was beat up a little bit against the San Diego Chargers. He took some hits and near the end of the game, he took a shot down by the ankle and was down for a little bit. He was hobbling around after the game and had an MRI done today. The MRI revealed that he re-aggravated his ankle injury, but he still is expected to march out onto the field against the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend.

The Chiefs are still undefeated and have a strong defense. They will be looking to knock Peyton Manning around a few more times this weekend. He is going to take a beating. The Broncos need to find a way to protect their quarterback or he will be hobbling on those ankles down the stretch.

The Chiefs are hungry and are ready to prove to the world that they belong at the top. Knocking off the Denver Broncos will definitely help them gain more attention from the rest of the league. They have had a ton of breaks go there way the last few weeks, but knocking off the Broncos with Peyton Manning in the lineup will get them respect, even if Peyton is hobbling around a little bit.

This is one game where having a little mobility might help the Broncos. The read option comes to mind. Either that or a whole bunch of Green Bay Sweeps to use the altitude against Hall and the KC wrecking crew.

  • Mike Hawthorne

Manning is very good at dumping the ball right over the heads of the pass rushers for an easy 8-12 yard screen pass. Does it several times every game. KC needs to pick up those backs coming out very quickly or Manning will move the chains like clockwork.

  • Cheyenne Kid

They need to mix up the short pass and running game a little more so they can’t just tee off and run some more 12 man formations to get additional blocking in. Just puzzle them as much as you csn Peytom and we should win without you getting hit as often. We would probably see more penalties for the d-line jumping into the neutral zone too. Go, go Broncos and Corral and cage the Chiefs Sunday nite!!!
