The Dallas Cowboys again are hovering around the .500 mark, but are still fighting for a playoff spot. They are behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the division and are only a 1/2 game behind them. Of course there is talk about head coach Jason Garrett and if he will still be the head coach for the Cowboys if they are unable to get to the playoffs.

Jerry Jones cleared up all that talk and said that Jason Garrett will be the head coach for the Cowboys in 2014.

I am sure this all will change if Garrett is unable to lead the team to the playoffs or if he goes onto a big time slide this year. Jerry just doesn’t want the offseason madness to distract the team this year. The team is still in the hunt and still could make the playoffs, he doesn’t want to be talking about a potential coach right now. If the team falls out of contention, then we might hear a change of tune.

For now, Jason Garrett is the head coach for this team this year and till the end of his contract. If he sucks the rest of the way, it will get revisited.
