The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cleaned house by firing head coach Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominik today, per ESPN. It was the regime’s third straight losing season and the team had expected to compete this season.

“The results over the past two years have not lived up to our standards and we believe the time has come to find a new direction,” co-chairman Bryan Glazer said in a statement.

“Mark has been a valued member of our organization for two decades and we respect the passion he showed for the Buccaneers during his time here. We thank Greg for his hard work and effort the past two seasons, but we feel these moves are necessary in order to achieve our goals.”

Schiano had gone 11-21 in his tenure with the Buccaneers. Schiano was surrounded with controversy earlier in the season after all the madness that he and former Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman had gone through. Many people felt that Schiano could have been fired earlier in the year, but they waited till the end to deal with that madness. Time for the Buccaneers to find a new head coach that can bring this team together. There is a lot of talent on the roster to play with.
