The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have found their man for the job. Lovie Smith will be the new head coach to take the vacancy that was left by Greg Schiano, per Jay Glazer. The Buccaneers still haven’t hired a general manager, but they already have selected their head coach. I guess the new general manager better be happy to have Lovie Smith as the head coach.

Smith will likely be bringing Jeff Tedford onto his staff as the offensive coordinator and Leslie Frazier onto his staff as the defensive coordinator. Smith spent the year out of football after getting fired by the Chicago Bears. He has a solid roster with the Buccaneers and has selected some good people to coach with.

The Buccaneers have a lot of talent to work with and Smith should be able to turn some things around. The defense is full of playmakers. The offense has some game changers on it as well and Mike Glennon is growing into a nice quarterback for the team.

The Buccaneers will have to contend with an emerging Carolina Panthers team and the always dangerous New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.
