Mark Sanchez In High Demand If Jets Release Him?

Mark Sanchez will likely be released this offseason and some teams are actually excited about this idea… at least that is what the NY Post says. Some crazy coach that is hungry for a quarterback said this:

“We’d take Sanchez,” the coach said. “He’d be the starter as soon as he walked in the door for us.””

Who in the world said that? There must be a reason that the coach didn’t put his name out there for the world to see. He probably didn’t want people to be pointing and laughing at him.

Which coach wants 52 turnovers in the span of two years. Hmmmmm….

This sounds like a Norv Turner idea. He is the new offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings and they need a quarterback in a bad way. Turner is an “offensive genius.” If anyone could turn Sanchez into a good quarterback, it must be Norv Turner. Wait…. Didn’t Norv Turner coach Philip Rivers in the last couple of seasons when everyone thought that Philip was done as a quarterback? Didn’t Philip comeback strong as soon as Norv was fired?

What other team needs a quarterback?

It must be the Raiders and Dennis Allen. Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin on one hand and Butt-Fumbles on the other hand. NOPE! Even the Raiders wouldn’t make that mistake.

It must be the Cleveland Browns head coach who said this. Wait a minute… no head coach.

Which coach said this?

You’ll never convince me this wasn’t the Raiders. Even when he signs elsewhere.

This was not the RAIDERS. This just does not sound like something D.A. would say. If i had to guess i say it was the Jax jaguars.

Sanchez still has a year left on his contract. They are expected to cut him before March, when there is a roster bonus due. Though everyone expects him to be cut, the Jets may very well keep him. His final year is relatively cheap, the Jets have no viable options behind Geno Smith, it’d be a long shot, but if healthy they might keep him for another year. They also could try to move him before March, if any teams have an interest, they’ll get a shot. Hell if the Jets could get a mid rounder..it’d be better then letting him walk. Don’t count Sanchez out quite yet.

Actually, any coach who would put his name to that statement could be liable for tampering charges. That would be the biggest reason not to do that.
