Denver Broncos DT Terrance Knighton stepped up this season to help the team’s defense do work. He clogged up the middle and was a a force for the Broncos defense.  He helped the team make a Super Bowl run and now he is looking for a new deal.

He signed a two-year deal in 2013 and is due to make $1.5 million in 2014 and will become a free agent in the following season. His reps feel that he has outperformed his current contract and they want to renegotiate a new deal. per Brandon Krisztal.

It is not known what negotiating tactics Knighton and his reps will take in the offseason though. Will he hold out of training camp or miss some other offseason work in order to make a statement? That still remains to be seen, but there could be a possibility of that happening.

The Broncos have other free agents that they will have to work with before the deal with the Knighton situation. Eric Decker, Knowshon Moreno and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are all free agents and the team will need to figure out a way to get them signed. Who will the Broncos be able to bring back onto the roster?
