Norv Turner Viewing Derek Carr’s Pro Day

Norv Turner is in attendance for Derek Carr’s Pro Day.

The Minnesota Vikings are looking to upgrade the quarterback position and will likely find that new talent through the draft. Derek Carr is one of the top at the position and the Vikings QB guru is in town to see if Carr has what it takes to be a quarterback in the league.

Norv Turner has had a ton of success coaching quarterbacks in the NFL. He has had some of the best talent in the game and will be looking to find a young gun to take control of his offense.

Turner has a few young quarterbacks to keep his eyes on in the coming draft. Any of the top quys can be available when the Vikings come up to select and Turner should have his homework complete on each of them.

Today is Derek Carr’s day to impress.

Heard they were talking to Fales also…that would be crazy if minny picked up Carr in the 2nd an Fales in like the 4th or 5th those two had a shoot out in school lol

I agree, I watched that game and both QB’s were impressive! I really like Carr’s maturity and understanding of the game. Any mechanical issues can be fixed by Norv, and to let him sit a yr behind Cassel would really benifit is overall development. Plus, his brother was on an expansion team with no O-line. So, to say he’ll be like his brother would be unfair at the least. We have an above average line and plenty of weapons to take the pressure off him. I’d love for the VIKES to draft Carr either in the 2nd or trade back up into bottom of 1st for him!!

I was playing the draft game the other day….. Got Carr at 72!!!!! In the 3rd can you believe that? … After the pro day he had I expect his draft to climb

        • Ken Tomlin

I’ve had that happen to me too! It’ll never happen like that though! Lol! If he’s our guy( and I truly hope he is) we’ll probably have to trade back into bottom of 1st to get him. Depending on what HOU, CLE, JAX, OAK, and TB do!

Even though Derek Carr has some big question marks, if he can get into the right system, the sky is the limit. With a cannon for an arm and serious mobility, speed and athleticism, he reminds me of Aaron Rodgers minus the accuracy and pocket presence. I believe he will be better tan his brother and have a successful career.
