Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been the subject of an incredible amount of trade rumors, and those rumors are only starting to heat up. The New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers are among the teams that have been linked to D-Jax, who is coming off of a career year but has evidently fell out of favor with head coach Chip Kelly due to his attitude.

The New York Daily News’s Manish Mehta reports that not only is Jackson unwilling to take a paycut from his $10.5 million, and he adds this tidbit from a source close to him, “Philly is trading him or cutting him. Fact. They don’t want him.”

At the beginning of the offseason, Jackson raised some eyebrows by stating he wanted to receive guaranteed money on his contract after his big 2013 season, but it looks like he isn’t willing to change any of his base salary into guaranteed money in some sort of a restructure. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens to Jackson, and the Eagles are serious about letting him go. It’s a shocking turn of a events for someone as talented as him, and it’s a huge red flag to buyers.

Right now, I don’t think anyone will show interest in trading for D-Jax due to the Eagles eagerness to get rid of him, as well as his sky-high price tag. But if he does hit the free agent market, then teams like the Jets and Panthers need to take a long look at a guy with his ability.
