The San Francisco 49ers had extended an invitation over to DeSean Jackson to meet for a possible contract, but nothing had been set up per Albert Breer. All of it has been put on hold pending the discussion with the Washington Redskins. At this point, the Redskins seem to have the upper hand at signing the speedster.

The 49ers would like to add more talent on their offense and would like an opportunity to get in on the bidding for Jackson, but it seems that the Redskins are holding all of the cards at the moment. With Jackson making his first visit with the Redskins  and after a couple of hours of hanging out between Robert Griffin III and Jackson, the Redskins are the team to beat out.

Jackson’s decision still is not done and there are plenty of teams that are interested in his services, but if the Redskins want to land the receiver, they should make their bid and make sure that he doesn’t leave the city. Jackson on the Redskins offense would be a nice boost for the team. Jackson on the 49ers offense would also be a huge boost for that offense.
