The Tennessee Titans are going to release RB Chris Johnson today, per Adam Schefter. Johnson is a 3-time Pro Bowl player that has racked up 7965 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns in his 6 seasons with the Titans. Last season, he recorded 1077 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns, but split some of his carries in the backfield during short yardage situations. His sophomore year still stands out to many, where he picked up 2006 yards and 14 touchdowns in that season.

Johnson will get interest from a teams around the league. he is an explosive back and many people will want to bring back that potential of 2000+ yards onto their roster. The New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys are a couple of teams that will likely get in the mix.

The Jets have been looking to add playmakers onto their offense this season. They have added Eric Decker and Michael Vick on offense already and could add the explosive Johnson onto the team as well.

The Cowboys have DeMarco Murray on the roster already, but are still kicking around the possibilities of having both Johnson and Murray sharing time in the backfield. Both players have that ability to hit the home run and having them share time could keep them fresh during games.
