Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley is expected to get some x-rays on his neck on Thursday and will look to get another MRI on his neck in the next couple of weeks per Josina Anderson. Finley is currently a free agent and he is not ready to hang up his cleats. His injury was scary and any team that brings him onto their roster will want medical clearance and some insurance.

If the x-rays go well, Finley will be sharing those results with possible employers. The Packers are still interested in bringing him back onto the roster, but they are waiting for the results on his x-rays and MRI like other teams.

Here are head coach Mike McCarthy’s thoughts on bringing Finley back:

"“Absolutely,” McCarthy said. “Jermichael, he’s going through a medical situation. He had a serious injury, I mean there’s a lot of excitement, based on what I’m told. I haven’t seen him work out or anything like that, but I guess his workouts have gone very well.“He’s in great shape, I know he feels good, but the reality is this injury is going to take some time and we’ll continue to watch it.” – ESPN"
