Former Seattle Seahawks WR Sidney Rice has received clearance to start up football activities and he is ready to get back onto the field. He just needs a team to be convinced that he can still make an impact on the football field. Rice is a free agent and has had a long history of injuries. Some team will have to look past his injury bug and get him that opportunity.
Rice only has had one really good season in the league. In his 3rd season (2009), Rice caught 83 passes for 1312 yards and 8 touchdowns. He has gone over 500 yard mark in receiving yards in one other season of his career. The production just has not matched the potential.
According to Pro Football Talk, the Seattle Seahawks are interested in bringing him back. The New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and Carolina Panthers are also interested in his services.
There are some teams that need veteran help at the receiver position and Rice can offer the help. Rice has been in the league for 7 seasons and has shown potential. He just needs to stay on the field and prove that he is fully recovered from his injury.
