The New Orleans Saints re-signed WR Robert Meachem to a 1-year deal, per Larry Holder. Meachem has been a solid receiver for the Saints for the last few years and he works well in the offense with Drew Brees and the rest of the guys. He is a good receiver that can stretch the field and give the team some veteran leadership.

Meachem played in 15 games last season and finished the year with 324 yards receiving and have an average of 20.3 yards per reception. He will be a solid option for Brees and company.

The bigger question in New Orleans is the progress of Jimmy Graham and their contract talks. All that is still up in the air and fans are waiting to get that deal done. The negotiations are ongoing and GM Mickey Loomis has said that their is no deadline to complete the deal. Graham has had his frustrations with this free agency period, but the two sides will have to work something out at some time.
