Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton believes that he is the face of the franchise and he is ready to get paid when his deal runs out at the end of the season, per ESPN.

"“It’s a quarterback-driven league, so quarterbacks get rewarded a lot of money,” Dalton said. “For a lot of these quarterbacks, if you’re the quarterback of the team, you’re the face of the franchise. So these teams obviously believe in their guy and they’re going to pay him that way.” – ESPN"

Dalton may believe that he is the face of the franchise, but there are a lot of question marks surrounding his status on the roster. He has led the team to the playoffs, but he has not been able to advance the team in the playoffs. He has struggled in those games and was eliminated from the playoffs by the San Diego Chargers last season. He needs to make that next step.

If Dalton is able to make that next step forward, then he could see the pay day that he is hoping for. His struggles have haunted him though.
