Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe wants to break out this season. He has prepped for the coming year by hiring a personal trainer and a nutritionist for the first time in his career, per Terez Paylor. He has been working with them for the last couple of months and hopefully all that work can translate onto the field.

He has struggled the past couple of seasons on the field. Last season, the Chiefs were able to jump out of the basement and into the playoffs, but Bowe only had 673 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. He didn’t make an impact like the fans would have expected on the roster with the team having success.

It seems like a long time since that season in 2010 when he racked up 1162 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2011 he hauled in 1159 receiving yards, but he hasn’t had that type of production since. In the following season, there was a mess at the quarterback position with the Chiefs and he struggled to get on the same page with that mess. Then last season he had Alex Smith tossing the rock, but they were unable to get things rolling for much of the year. He didn’t have a single game over 100 yards (except for the playoff loss) and he was held to single digit receiving yards in 2 games.

Hopefully the work with the nutritionist and personal trainer pay off. Fans want to see him producing like he did in the playoffs.
