Mike Mayock believes that 6 receivers could be taken in the first round of the draft. The draft is deep at the position, but that won’t stop teams from taking the top guys off of the board. There are a number of guys at the top of the draft that can help teams out immediately.

Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans are at the top of the list for wide receivers in the draft. Following them are Odell Beckham Jr, Brandin Cooks and Marqise Lee.

After those 5 receivers, a prospect like Cody Latimer or Kelvin Benjamin could sneak up to the first round of the draft. There are a number of teams that would love to get a receiver in the draft and there could be a run on the position in the first round.

If any team wants to select one of those guys, they better move up in the draft to select their player. The San Francisco 49ers have been a team that has been mentioned to have interest in picking up a receiver in the draft and they have the stockpile of draft selections to move up and select the one that they want.
