  • Alex Smith is the team’s quarterback at this moment and he brought the team some stability and brought the team to the playoffs, but he can never stand on solid footing. He has always had to look over his shoulder while he was the starting quarterback and Andy Reid could bring back that loving feeling for him again in Kansas City.

Smith should be able to carry the torch for the team for a few years, but if the team is looking for a different type of production on offense, then they may choose to bring in a rookie to learn for a season or two.

Andy Reid is holding all the cards at this point and he can make Alex Smith real uncomfortable all over again.
