    Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville

Here is the analysis on the selection:

A popular pick here is Sammy Watkins, but I’m going do what the Jaguars should do as opposed to what people think they will do.

I have had Bridgewater as the top quarterback for the entire draft process. The Jaguars have a handful of needs, but by far the most dire one is at quarterback. Bridgewater can come in right away and compete with Chad Henne, and he should start at some point if not on opening day.

General manager David Caldwell has talked about a number of traits he looks for in a franchise quarterback and Bridgewater has all of them. Despite all the hits his stock has taken during the draft process, Bridgewater has all the tools be a productive quarterback.
