The Raiders have had a tough time on Draft Day the past couple of years. We all know about arguably one of the biggest busts in NFL history, JaMarcus Russell, or even linebacker Rolondo McClain, but this year they look to turn it all around. It seems that the Raiders did just that with the fifth pick in this years draft by selecting linebacker Khalil Mack out of Buffalo.

Khalil Mack is a playmaker that can play both linebacker and defensive end. He plays the game of football with great intensity that the Raiders crave. He will fit right in with the type of smash mouth defense the Raiders play. The Raiders are going to need Mack’s play as well, they finished 28th in the league last year in pass defense, and Mack can certainly get to the quarterback which, in return, will help out the secondary.

The Raiders defense received a make-over this offseason with the additions of Justin Tuck and Carlos Rogers, but Mack has the ability to make the Riaders’ defense very scary for years to come. A great pick for the Raiders here, and good luck to you, Khalil Mack.
