The San Francisco 49ers and the Buffalo Bills have agreed to a trade sending Stevie Johnson to San Francisco for a 4th round draft selection in next year’s draft.

The Bills just picked up Sammy Watkins in the draft and felt that they could move Johnson with his arrival. Watkins was the top receiver prospect in the draft and will get a lot of attention on offense. The 49ers were interested in drafting a receiver in this draft, but by the time their selection came up, all the receivers that they were hoping for had been selected.

Instead, the team has added Stevie Johnson onto their roster and will join Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin on offense. The team just added more speed and playmaking ability to the offense for Colin Kaepernick.

The Bills will now have another draft selection to work with next season, but may need to find another weapon on offense after getting rid of Johnson. Watkins is going to be a top player, but he can’t carry the offense by himself. He will be working with Mike Williams on offense now.
