Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson does not plan on attending voluntary OTAs when they come up next week. Johnson has not been pleased with the direction that the team had been moving in the offseason. He was hoping to get a little more help on the offensive side of the football and to hopefully land a quarterback in the draft, but the team put their focus on the defense and didn’t find a quarterback to take over the starting role this offseason.

The team struggled on offense with the poor play at the quarterback position. Matt Schaub was supposed to lead the offense, but sputtered all last season and was eventually traded to the Oakland Raiders in the offseason. The team brought in Ryan Fitzpatrick as a veteran to hold down the position and many fans thought that he would be a veteran to help groom a young stud quarterback that the team would take in the draft. Instead, the team passed on all the top talent in the draft and took a quarterback in the later rounds.

Johnson wasn’t too pleased with that move. He would love to have a good quarterback throwing the ball in his direction, instead he has Fitzpatrick throwing him the ball.
