New York Jets RB Chris Ivory is set to lose some carries to Chris Johnson this year. Johnson was signed in the offseason and will be looking to get into the action with the Jets offense. He will have to work to get onto the field, but he should see his fair share of action.
Chris Ivory doesn’t mind losing some carries though in order to get the ball to another playmaker. Ivory is taking the addition to the roster like a team player. Some guys want to get the rock all the time and I am sure that Ivory wouldn’t mind that glory, but he is saying all the right things with the new addition to the roster:
"“I thought it was a good move. Anybody that can come in and help us I think is good for the team,” Ivory said. “He’s fast, has great speed [and] great hands. We all bring something different, so as far as complements, it just depends on the team and the scheme that they have for the guys. . . . I’ve seen him play. He can do it all. He speaks for himself.”"
Ivory will get his chance to take the football and if he wants to get a bigger load on offense he will have to produce with those opportunities.
