Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson’s contract is up after the end of the season and he is hoping that he can get a new deal done with the team before he reaches free agency.
"“I haven’t thought that far. I guess I’m more focused on hoping it gets done before that,” Nelson told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Obviously you want to get it done as soon as possible, but there are a lot of other people involved in that. It’s a process, we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes.”"
Nelson has been a solid weapon on offense for Aaron Rodgers and the gang. He is someone that the team should look to keep around for some time.
If he were to hit the free agency market, there would be a number of teams looking to add the receiver onto their roster. He is a tough player and knows how to find the open spots in a defense. He would be a great option on a number of teams, but he likely would be the best with Aaron and the rest of the Packers offense.
