HBO wanted to get more attention for Johnny Manziel for their hit show NFL Hard Knocks, but the Cleveland Browns have denied the invite, per ESPN Clelveland. Could you imagine the type of coverage the team would get with HBO all over the place with their cameras?

Johnny Manziel would have cameras all around and the distractions around the team could be overwhelming. It was a great move by the team to decline the invite. They don’t need the extra attention on the team. The team already has enough cameras following it around with Manziel on the roster.

The hit show still is looking to find their team. The Browns were able to decline the invite since they have a new head coach on their roster. The league passed a rule that could force a team onto the show this year, but there are certain guidelines on the teams that would be forced into it. One of those restrictions prevents a team that has a fresh head coach on the roster. That allowed the Browns to decline the invite.

It would have been fun to watch them though.
