Oakland Raiders CB DJ Hayden could be out until training camp with an injured right foot. He rolled the foot a few weeks ago and has not been able to participate during OTAs. He has to get it ready for the season, but he is missing some valuable time on the field with teh rest of his team.
“It’s hard to tell,” Allen said Monday, per CSNBayArea. “Initially I was hopeful (that he would return soon). We’re day-by-day with DJ. Hopefully we’ll have him out here, because he needs the work.”
Hayden missed a lot of the offseason program last year with an injury and it looks like he is having a repeat performance so far. He will need to get back on the field and will need to contribute for the Raiders this season. The team was hoping for him to come back and make some plays on defense, but it is going to hurt missing all this time and missing getting the reps with the rest of the defense.
