The battle between Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans continues on. Johnson is unhappy with the situation in Houston and he wants out (Pro Football Talk). He wants to get traded or released off of the roster. His cap number is huge though and it makes it difficult for the team to find someone that can fit his salary. Someone will want him and will make room on the roster to bring him on.

Johnson wants to win now. He doesn’t believe that the Texans brought in a quarterback that can help them win. The team traded away Matt Schaub in the offseason and are left with Ryan Fitzpatrick as the number 1 quarterback going into camp. I will side with Johnson on that argument.
At 33 years old, Johnson still is a very productive receiver. He can help a team’s’ passing attack immediatley. He could be a number 1 receiver for a number of teams. There are teams that are interested in bringing him on.
The Texans have stood their ground so far. How long will the stand still last?
I wouldn’t expect to see Johnson to be back in a Houston Texans jersey this season, but what will the team do with him. Will they drop him off the roster or will they find a trade partner?
