Players in the Cleveland Browns locker room are expecting Brian Hoyer to emerge as the starting quarterback when the season opens up. Head Coach Mike Pettine expects to make his decision on the starting quarterback well before the 3rd preseason game and doesn’t want the drama to last past that date. It still will.

The Johnny Manziel fan club will have to wait patiently on the sideline for their man to get onto the field. It probably won’t be patient at all though. They likely will be screaming for Manziel to get on the field as soon as any trouble peeks his head out from Hoyer.

Hoyer will have a lot of pressure on his shoulders. Any time he makes a mistake, fans will be screaming for Manziel. It is Tebow syndrome all over again.

The Browns fans just want to see the team win. It could be Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel lining up under center and they wouldn’t care as long as W’s keep showing up in the standings.

The world might want to see Johnny Manziel running the offense, but they have to pump the brakes. It doesn’t look like it will be at the start of the year.
