Denver Broncos LB Danny Trevathan has a left medial tibial impaction fracture and the time frame on his return is 6-8 weeks. He will likely miss the first 3 weeks of the regular season and make return after the BYE week.

With Trevathan sitting out of practice, Brandon Marshall has been taking the snaps with the first team and will get the first opportunity to be the starter. Marshall was selected in the 5th round of the 2012 draft and was on the Broncos practice squad for some time last season.

He will get the opportunity with the first team defense against the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks to start out the year. The Colts are more of a passing team, but the Chiefs and Seahawks can pound the ball in the running game. He will have to adapt real quick to that starter’s role if he is in the middle on week 1.
