Steelers RB LeVeon Bell arrested for possession of marijuana

Pittbrugh Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell were arrested today for possession of marijuana. Bell was also charged with driving under the influence.

The weed out in Pittsburgh must be real good! The details on the story are still being released, but it sounds like the Steelers backfield just got a little thin. The driving under the influence charge is particularly concerning since it could keep him out of the lineup longer.
The first report out of Pittsburgh had LeGarrette Blount as part of the incident and had also been arrested. Instead, it sounds like Blount was released by the police and allowed to travel with the team.
Blount is traveling with the Steelers according to a source. Was not arrested and was told he could call someone and leave the scene

The Steelers will have to deal with their starting back dealing with the arrest. Thank goodness it wasn’t the team’s top 2 backs dealing with the incident. The team could have had Dri Archer moved up to the top spot on the depth chart in a hurry.
Again, suspensions have not been handed out at the time, so we don’t know what will happen with Bell for the regular season. He could miss a couple of games this season if the league hands down the suspensions quickly. It will give Blopunt the opportunity to get more reps.
