Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel’s middle finger is worth $12,000, per Ian Rapoport. At least that is how much it will cost him for flipping the bird on national television against the Washington Redskins. Manziel still has not decided if he will appeal the fine.

Skeptics of Manziel are going to wonder if he can keep his composure and they will wonder if he will be able to grow up. It is just a middle finger, but he is representing an organization and a team on the field and he put the team in a bad light with that move.

Manziel will start out the season on the bench learning the playbook and learning from Brain Hoyer. During that time, the team will hope that he can get a good grasp of the playbook and will be hoping that he matures.

In the end, all the shenanigans will be disregarded if he can find ways to win on the football field. That is the only thing that the Browns organization is looking for. Get on the field and help this team win.
