Cincinnati Bengals worked out Jacoby Ford, Brian Wozniak

The Cincinnati Bengals brought in two skill position players for workouts, as the National Football Post’s Aaron Wilson reports that Marvin Lewis and the staff took a close look at wide receiver Jacoby Ford and tight end Brian Wozniak. It will be interesting to see if they decide to pick one of those two players up, because Ford would be an intriguing addition given his ridiculous speed on returns, as well as his connection with Hue Jackson from their days together with the Oakland Raiders.

  • Ford signed with the New York Jets this offseason in early April, but the WR/KR couldn’t stick around on the 53-man roster and was cut about a week ago along with former New England Patriots bust Ras-I Dowling, who always has trouble staying healthy. Speaking of health, Ford also dealt with a foot injury in June, but he missed the Jets roster due to his own inability to carve out a role in the competition. He had a great opportunity to show off his special teams ability and speed as a deep threat, but he was unable to do either.

We’ll see if Jackson decides that he wants the Bengals to reunite with Ford, as Wozniak is just a bottom-of-the-depth-chart TE. He spent some time with the Atlanta Falcons and is just 24.
