Knowshon Moreno Injury: Miami Dolphins RB has dislocated elbow

facebooktwitterreddit

The Miami Dolphins suffered a disheartening 29-10 loss to the rival Buffalo Bills today, and this comes a week after they upset the New England Patriots in remarkable fashion, coming from behind to beat their hated rivals. Knowshon Moreno was the hero that day as one of the top running backs of the week, as the Dolphins won both trench battles handily and also received a solid day from another RB in Lamar Miller.

  • Unfortunately, the Dolphins lost Moreno to an injury in today’s game after being tackled by Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham, and the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Moreno has indeed dislocated his elbow. This could end up putting him on the short-term injured reserve if tests show that the injury is severe enough, but we’ll have to wait on the results in order to get an idea of how bad this injury truly is.

Moreno had one rush for four yards before exiting the game, while Miller finished things off by notching a serviceable 46 yards on 11 carries with two receptions against a pretty tough Bills run defense. If Moreno is out for an extended period of time, then the onus will be on Miller to play up to his tremendous talent, and it will temporarily strip the ‘Fins of one of the league’s better running back combos.
