With division rivalries such as the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49’ers clashing and the Green Bay Packers taking on their division foe – the Detroit Lions – you would expect those games being the marquee matchups of the weekend. While they were big games, the attention was mainly in Seattle as the Denver Broncos attempted to avenge their Super Bowl loss against the Seattle Seahawks. The game was the furthest thing from the Super Bowl as Peyton Manning led the Broncos to a fourth quarter comeback, sending the game into overtime; eventually falling short as Marshawn Lynch scored on a six yard touchdown run.

Back to the division talk, the Arizona Cardinals have come out of the gate strong. With wins over the San Diego Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers, the Arizona Cardinals are proving their worth. Keep in mind, this is all going on with a backup quarterback.

This week features a ton of big name matchups. It starts with the Washington Redskins hosting the New York Giants and ends with the New England Patriots heading a little out west to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here are my Power Rankings for week 4. Feel free to leave your comments and opinions below. Also, make sure you check back every Tuesday morning as I will continue to post my Power Rankings throughout the season.

Number 1: Seattle Seahawks (2-1) – Last Week 1

The Seahawks were able to get the better of Peyton Manning for the second straight time. Although it wasn’t a blowout victory, anytime you can defeat Manning you’re doing something right.

Number 2: Denver Broncos (2-1) – Last Week 2

A late drive by Peyton Manning was good enough to send the game to overtime but not good enough to get the W. Still, these two teams treated us to a great game.

Number 3: Cincinnati Bengals (3-0) – Last Week 5

The Cincinnati Bengals are off to a hot start. They’ve impressed in each of their three games.

Number 4: Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) – Last Week 6

Getting into a shootout with the Washington Redskins probably was not something Chip Kelly wanted. Regardless, the Eagles were able to come out victorious.

Number 5: Arizona Cardinals (3-0) – Last Week 10

Drew Stanton has been very efficient in the absence of Carson Palmer. The Arizona Cardinals might have the best defense in the league.

Number 6: San Diego Chargers (2-1) – Last Week 12

The San Diego Chargers have looked really good this season. They were competitive in Arizona, then defeated the Seahawks and a 2-0 Buffalo Bills team. It will be interesting to see them take on the Broncos mid way through the season.

Number 7: New England Patriots (2-1) – Last Week 4

It wasn’t the prettiest of wins against the Raiders, but a win is a win. The offense has struggled at times this season, with most of the blame being put on the offensive line. Let’s see if Brady can start working his magic.

Number 8: Indianapolis Colts (1-2) – Last Week 7

A big win for the Colts and an even bigger performance from Andrew Luck. With two straight home games, the Indianapolis Colts are in a great position to get to 3-2.
