Brandon Marshall Injury: Chicago Bears WR ‘looks good’, will play

facebooktwitterreddit

Chicago Bears superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall didn’t practice at all this past week, but he was only listed questionable on the injury report after aggravating an ankle injury on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets (he caught just one pass for six yards before exiting). Marshall was also listed questionable before the Jets game and the previous week against the San Francisco 49ers, and he also didn’t practice before the Niners game. However, he went off for three touchdown receptions in a critical performance to help lead the Bears to victory that week, and we’ll see if he can put in a repeat performance today in a huge rivalry matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

  • According to ESPN Chicago’s Michael C. Wright, Marshall tested his ankle throughout pre-game warm-ups, and Wright stated that Marshall looked “good” out there. The NFL Network’s Stacey Dales reports that she was given the “thumbs up” by the Bears star wideout, meaning that he will indeed suit up and play today against Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, and Co.

Marshal was always expected to play today, so none of this should come as a surprise. Fantasy football owners should definitely start him with this knowledge, though nothing is official for the game-time decision until the inactive lists are released.
