New England Patriots Brandon Browner ‘good to go’
New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner was eligible to be activated for the team’s Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, as his suspension ended after four games. Browner, however, wasn’t activated in Week 5, as the Patriots wanted to make sure that he practiced and proved he would be ready to play. Well, he wasn’t activated for Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills either, as Browner wasn’t able to make his debut to due to ankle injury.

It looks like he’ll be better, and his return couldn’t come at a better time, as the Patriots are on a short week with a date with a New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. According to NESN’s Doug Kyed, Browner stated that his ankle is feeling better now and that he is “good to go” this week, and he’ll surely give the Patriots a nice boost on defense.
That said, it’s not like they’re going to need Browner against Geno Smith and the New York Jets, as they really haven’t been able to get anything going. Eric Decker and Jace Amaro will be threats for the Patriots defense, so Browner will have an easy assignment, which actually does make it a perfect way for him to ease himself back into the action.
