Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith has quit twitter. Here is the reason that he is not on the social media deal any longer.

It is fun getting little updates from all the players of your favorite team, but having a twitter account as a high profile player has to be difficult. I wouldn’t even allow myself to see some of the tweets that people send out to me.

Just like Steve Smith is saying, some people get internet courage and think they can say whatever they want over the web. Why do some people believe that they can talk all this smack over the net and think that it is OK?!

Honestly, is there any real reason for players to have twitter accounts? They should just have someone else running their accounts for them if they want one.

I guess they could be like Jim Irsay and be on the prowl looking for their next fling. Isn’t there another app for that though?
