The Tennessee Titans are going to throw their rookie quarterback out in the fire and see how he turns out. Zach Mettenberger will get his first start in his career and will face off against J.J. Watt and the rest of the Houston Texans defense. Mettenberger will have a tough task in front of him and will be looking to get the ball out quick and get the ball to his playmakers.

Here is what he had to say this week about his first action as the starter:

"“By no means am I a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning,” Mettenberger said. “This is going to be my first game, so really I just got to get the ball out of my hands quick, avoid turnovers and put the ball in the (hands of) guys who can make plays for us. Really that’s the biggest thing a young guy’s got to do.” – ESPN"

J.J. Watt will be licking his chops looking forward to get after the quarterback. Could we see another touchdown from the superstar stud?

The Houston Texans are coming off of 3 straight losses and the last loss is a game that they let slip right out of their hands. They held a 13-3 lead with less than 2 minutes left in the first half, but found a way to be trailing 24-13 at the half. The offense gave up the ball a pair of times and put the defense in some bad situations.

I can’t expect the Titans to lose to a rookie quarterback this week. The defense will be looking to force some turnovers and Watt will be back there to force some bad throws.

Texans 19 – Titans 12
