The Top 10 Most Iconic NFL Stadiums Around The Country

The NFL is the nation’s most popular sport and we all know that it is not even close. Every Sunday hoards of football fans flock to many of the league’s majestic venues. But which are truly are the most iconic NFL stadiums? Many fans will point to their team’s stadium and say that ‘ours is the most iconic’ or at least ‘one of the most iconic venues in the league.’ Pride in a stadium should exist, it’s were you’ve watched your team battle it out for years — sometimes since childhood. With this in mind I wanted to look at which stadiums are not just iconic to that city’s fan base, but to the entire country.
First I had to answer the question of ‘what makes a stadium iconic?’ There are multiple factors including, big moments that have occurred there, unique stadium design, huge events/games hosted, and historic noise levels. Those factors were most heavily weighed, but I also looked at, how well does it fits into it’s city’s downtown corridor (suburb, neighborhood), the venue’s sheer size, and its history or age as potential factors as well. All of these things combined gives a pretty clear example of what makes an NFL stadium iconic. Many stadiums were considered, but I chose to focus on the top 10 most iconic venues of them all.
