Roddy White, Harry Douglas Injury Updates

Atlanta Falcons veteran wide receiver Roddy White suffered from some inefficient play earlier in the season, but he’s been back to his old self ever since facing the Baltimore Ravens  secondary. White busted out for a nine-catch, 100-yard performance, and his lowest output since that Week 7 battle was a five-catch, 66-yard day against the tough Detroit Lions pass defense. It’s safe to say that the steady No. 2 guy is rolling, and he had a strong performance against the talented Cleveland Browns secondary by adding nine catches and 96 yards to his season-long haul.

Unfortunately, White’s streak of solid performance could be put on hold for a week, because ESPN NFL Nation’s Vaughn McClure reports the 33-year-old is not practicing today due to an ankle injury. Losing White this week would be a massive blow, as the Falcons have a tough matchup on tap against the Arizona Cardinals and desperately need their third-best offensive player to be healthy against an elite cornerback duo. If the Falcons want to have a legit shot at winning, then they have to hope he can play, otherwise they’ll need a huge day from Harry Douglas.

Speaking of Douglas, the 3o-year-old Louisville product missed practice yesterday with a foot injury that he has been playing through, as he missed some games earlier this year with the ailment. Thankfully, McClure reports that Douglas is back on the field today, so the Falcons aren’t at risk of losing their No. 2 and 3 receivers for the Cardinals game.
