According to John McClain of The Houston ChronicleAndre Johnson has requested a trade from the Houston Texans. The Texans have permitted his agent the right to pursue a deal.

If nothing gets done, Houston will allow the 33-year-old to enter unrestricted free agency.

"The Texans gave Johnson’s agent, Kennard McGuire, permission to seek a trade for one of the greatest receivers in history. If a trade can’t be worked out, Johnson will be placed on waivers, making him an unrestricted free agent."

This is massive news.

Johnson is 33, but he’s recorded at least 85 reception in six of his past seven and seven of his past nine seasons. The only exceptions have been a pair of seasons in which injuries cut his year short—injuries from a distant 2007 and 2011.

Johnson is one of the most durable, reliable, productive and prolific wide receivers in NFL history.

In 2014, he tallied 85 receptions for 936 yards, 49 first downs and three touchdowns with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. The general consensus is that he’ll end up with a championship contender after spending 12 seasons with the Texans.

The question is, which team would be the best fit for Johnson’s services?
